Why we only build bathrooms.
A bathroom is the most technically demanding room in a house per square foot. Water under pressure, water draining, steam, electricity and structure all converge in a space smaller than most bedrooms, and every one of them has to be detailed correctly. When one of them is not, the evidence appears years later, behind tile, as rot.
General remodelers build bathrooms between kitchens and additions. We build bathrooms every week, which means the crew has already solved the problem in your house before — the 1990s corner tub in Stanford Ranch, the galvanized supply line in an older Auburn home, the raised floor that makes a curbless shower harder than the brochure suggests.
We work across Placer County and Nevada County from a base in Rocklin, and we keep the territory to one region rather than chasing work across Northern California. Staying regional is the difference between a same-day return visit and a scheduling problem, and it is why we usually know what is behind a wall before we open it. The towns we know best — Rocklin, Roseville, Granite Bay, Lincoln, Loomis, Auburn, Colfax, Newcastle, Penryn, Meadow Vista, Foresthill, Sheridan, Applegate, Weimar, Tahoe City, Kings Beach, Carnelian Bay, Tahoma, Olympic Valley, Grass Valley, Nevada City, Truckee, Penn Valley, Lake Wildwood, Lake of the Pines, Alta Sierra, Rough and Ready, Cedar Ridge — each have their own page here, because the housing stock genuinely differs between them.
What we will tell you that others might not.
If your budget and your goals do not line up yet, we will say so on the first call rather than after you have paid for a design. If keeping your fixtures where they are would get you ninety per cent of the result for a substantially lower cost, that is the option we will recommend, even though it is the smaller job.
If the bathroom being remodeled is the only one in the house, we will walk you through what that actually means day to day before you sign anything. And if a project is outside what we do well, we will tell you that too.
